Summer Teen Theatre 2024 FAQ's
What are the dates and times of Summer Teen Theatre?
For 2024, Pantochino’s Summer Teen Theatre will be held Mon-Fri July 29 - August 2 from 9am to 3pm and Mon-Fri August 5-9 from 9am-4pm. Performances August 9 and 10. There will be an Kick-off event for those participating in this program on Saturday June 15 in our studio. This will be a meet and greet event where scripts will be given out and cast will audition for roles. It is strongly recommended all attend.
PLEASE NOTE: Teens must attend every rehearsal—no conflicts. There are only ten rehearsals to put together a full-scale, two-act musical. Being absent due to doctor’s appointments, dance classes, or any other conflict is not acceptable. If your teen has conflicts with the above dates, this is not the program for them.
What age does my child have to be in order to attend?
Summer Teen Theatre is for young actors age 13 - 18. Those attending must be age 13 by July 1, 2024.
Where is Summer Teen Theatre held?
Rehearsals will be held in our studios at the Connecticut Post Mall. Performances are at Arts Hall at the ACES Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven.
How much does Summer Teen Theatre cost?
Tuition for Summer Teen Theatre is $450.00 per student. There is no sibling discount.
What is Summer Teen Theatre’s cancellation policy?
Summer plans change. We get that. The registration form clearly states there will be no refunds, cancellations or credits after May 1, 2024. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
Can I pay for Summer Teen Theatre online?
The registration form may be downloaded and printed online, then sent via U. S. mail, or for faster registration, the form may be completed and emailed via pdf, and payment may be made via PayPal or Venmo for an added $15.00 to cover service fees.
How do I contact Summer Teen Theatre during the day?

Is Summer Teen Theatre allergy free?
Summer Teen Theatre not allergy free. If your child has an allergy, we require they be able to administer their own EpiPen in case of an emergency. They must also have their EpiPen with them during lunch.
Do I need to call someone if my child is going to be absent?
Please send an email to pantochino@gmail.com. As we are rehearsing a full-length musical in just two weeks, absences are strongly discouraged. If your teen has prior commitments during this two-week period, this may not be the program for them.

There are 42 spots available.
Does Summer Teen Theatre provide lunch?
Each student must bring their own lunch/snack and water.
Are any packed lunch items prohibited?
Summer Teen Tehatre is not an allergy-free environment, so any reasonable lunch items are welcome.
Is Summer Teen Theatre appropriate for students with physical disabilities or developmental disorders?
While we try to make our program accessible for each student, it may not be appropriate for children who cannot handle the physical or developmental demands of learning lines, music and dance of a full scale, two-act musical in a short amount of time.
How does Summer Teen Theatre handle casting?
Details regarding auditions will be emailed to each registered participant. Vocal auditions are submitted virtually and reading for roles happens at our kick off event. We feel every role is important to every show. And each student will have the opportunity to read/audition for roles. Some young actors are anxious to play the lead role, and some are happy to have a smaller part. And we know, not everyone will get the part they desire. We ask for your support and enthusiasm following casting.
When and where are Summer Teen Theatre performances?
Performances are Friday August 9 at 7:30pm and Saturday August 10 at 2pm and 5:30pm at Arts Hall, located at ACES Educational Center for the Arts, 55 Audubon Street in New Haven.
How do I buy performance tickets?
Tickets will be available online at www.pantochino.com. There are no comp tickets.
Do I need to purchase costumes for my child?
While we will provide costumes for the cast, we will ask each participant to supply his/her own shoes and any make-up. There may be other simple stock items which we may ask be supplied by the actor.
