Pantochino Teen Theatre is designed to give young actors, age 13 to 18,  the opportunity to work with professionals in learning, rehearsing and performing a fully realized production, outside of the school or academic situation. Weekly Saturday (and a few Sunday) rehearsals are fast-paced and intensive, giving young actors the experience of a professional rehearsal schedule.  Past productions have included “The Prom,” “We Will Rock You,” “Grease,” “Bat Boy, “ “The SpongeBob Musical,” “Runways,” “The Drowsy Chaperone,” “Bubble Boy,” “Young Frankenstein,” "Go-Go Beach," Urinetown," "Starmites," "Into the Woods Jr.," "Zombie Prom," “Xanadu Jr.” and “Godspell Jr.”  Pantochino Teen Theatre begins rehearsal each year just after the holiday season. Pantochino's Summer Teen Theatre is a two-week program providing the same intensive, professional experience.

NOW REGISTERING: SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER

Pantochino Teen Theatre’s next production is the sizzling Broadway musical “Saturday Night Fever” based on the blockbuster film. Weekend rehearsals begin in January 2025 with performances February 21-23, 2025. Participants must be 13 years old by January 1st to participate. Enrollment is limited to thirty actors. (It is imperative those registered for the program attend all rehearsals as this immerse experience is a brief 12 rehearsals) While enrollment for this program is officially closed, we urge interested teens to email Bert Bernardi at pantochino@gmail.com should a spot be available.

In this beloved ’70s throwback, Tony Manero, a nineteen-year-old Brooklynite paint store clerk, spends his weekends at a local disco, where he moonlights as the king of the dance floor. When he and mesmerizing dancer Stephanie enter a dance competition, the pair’s professional partnership blossoms into a deep friendship, and challenges both to reflect on what’s important in life amidst rising social tensions and disillusionment. Featuring the timeless hits of the Bee Gees and classic disco tracks, this reimagined version of Saturday Night Fever transports you back to the era of disco balls, platform boots, and white suits.
